Chattanooga is among the top 100 best places to live in America, according to a new study by Livability.com of more than 1,000 U.S. cities. Chattanooga ranked No. 68 in the sixth annual ranking released Tuesday by the editors of the Top 100 Best Places to Live in America.

Chattanooga jobless rate falls to record low

As Hamilton County schools wrap up another school year this week, the state reported Thursday that unemployment in metro Chattanooga last month fell to an all-time low as the recovery from the Great Recession a decade ago enters its longest period of sustained growth in modern U.S. history this summer.

Chattanooga income among fastest growing in the nation

Chattanooga had the sixth fastest growth in median household income last year among the nation’s 382 metropolitan areas as the local 6-county area continued to boost employment at more than twice the U.S. rate, according to a new government report released Tuesday.
